Together, the IDSA Foundation and HIVMA want your support to save HIV Funding

The House of Representatives is proposing to cut nearly $2 billion in federal HIV funding in FY26, wiping out CDC’s HIV prevention program, core Ryan White services that keep clinics open, and the Ending the HIV Epidemic initiative. These cuts would dismantle the backbone of our national HIV response.
Save HIV Funding was launched in 2023 by PrEP4All, AVAC, and HIVMA to push back on exactly this kind of threat. The campaign has grown to more than 150 organizations and helped stop $1.5 billion in proposed cuts in 2024. We are again mobilized and ready as Congress tries to advance even deeper cuts this year.
The campaign brings together national groups, community organizations, clinicians, researchers, and people living with or vulnerable to HIV. It’s a simple, accessible way for advocates to plug in, stay informed, and take coordinated action. The campaign will exist only as long as these threats remain, but right now the stakes couldn’t be higher.
These proposed cuts would cost lives, increase infections, and weaken public health at every level. We need every voice, every partner, to help stop them.
Join us. Speak out. Push Congress to protect federal HIV prevention, care, and research funding before it’s too late.
